Are you interested in working together?

If you’d like to work together, the first step is an initial conversation to see if we would be a good fit. There is no commitment, and no pressure.

Part A: All Services

Nature of our Services

You understand that the Services provided by centred are intended to support your wellbeing, recovery, and personal development. They are not a substitute for medical, psychiatric, or other clinical care, and they are not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any medical or psychological condition. Our practitioners are not acting as medical doctors, and nothing said or done during a session should be understood as medical advice or diagnosis. You are encouraged to consult your GP or an appropriate health professional for any condition you are concerned about.

Your responsibility for your own wellbeing

You understand that you remain responsible for your own health, wellbeing, choices, and decisions during and after your engagement with our Services. You agree to provide accurate and complete information relevant to your care, and to let us know of any change to that information.

Not an emergency service

You understand that our Services are not a crisis or emergency service. If you need urgent help, you will contact your GP, NHS 111, or the emergency services on 999, or contact the Samaritans, free, on 116 123.

Confidentiality and its limits

You understand that what you share with us is confidential, subject to the limited exceptions set out in our Privacy Policy and Code of Ethical Practice, principally where there is a serious risk of harm to you or another person, a safeguarding concern, or a legal requirement to disclose.

Part B: Massage Therapy

This section applies specifically to massage therapy.

Informed consent to treatment

You confirm that the nature of massage therapy has been explained to you, including its general benefits and limitations, and that you have had the opportunity to ask questions. You understand what your treatment will involve, and you are seeking it voluntarily.

Health disclosure and contraindications

You confirm that you have disclosed, to the best of your knowledge, all relevant health information, including medical conditions, injuries, allergies, medications, and, if applicable, pregnancy. You understand that some conditions are contraindications to massage, and that treatment may need to be adapted, postponed, or declined for your safety. You understand that withholding relevant health information may place you at risk, and you accept responsibility for the information you provide.

Risks of massage

You understand that, as with any physical treatment, massage therapy carries some inherent risks even when carried out skilfully and with due care. These can include temporary soreness, tenderness, or bruising, and, less commonly, a short-term aggravation of existing symptoms. You understand that you may stop the treatment, or ask for the pressure or technique to be changed, at any time and for any reason.

Comfort, dignity, and consent during treatment

You understand that appropriate draping and respect for your privacy and comfort will be maintained throughout, and that you may decline any aspect of treatment at any point. You understand that massage therapy at centred is wholly professional and therapeutic, and is never of a sexual nature.

Waiver and release for massage therapy

Having understood the above, you agree that you will not hold centred or Zac Botham responsible for any adverse reaction, discomfort, or aggravation of a condition that arises from information you did not disclose, or from a pre-existing condition, where reasonable care has been taken. This does not affect your rights in respect of negligent practice, and nothing in this waiver excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Part C: Psychotherapy, Counselling, and Coaching

This section applies specifically to psychotherapy, counselling, and coaching.

Nature and limits of this work

You understand that psychotherapy, counselling, and coaching are collaborative processes whose outcome depends in part on your own engagement, and that no particular result can be guaranteed. You understand that this work can at times involve exploring difficult thoughts, feelings, and experiences, and that this is a normal part of the process, undertaken within a supportive and professional relationship.

Informed consent

You understand the nature of the Service being offered, that it is intended to support your wellbeing and development rather than to provide medical treatment or diagnosis, and that you are entering into it voluntarily. You are able to give informed consent, and you give it freely. You understand that you may pause or end the work at any time, in line with our Terms and Conditions of Business.

Online sessions

Where sessions take place online, you understand that you are responsible for arranging a private and uninterrupted space and a secure connection, and that centred is not liable for disruption caused by technology outside our control or by your use of a third-party platform.
