At Centred, we work with individuals seeking to reconnect with their body through massage therapy and bodywork.
Hull, UK – 30th March 2026 – Centred, a new massage therapy and bodywork practice, has launched in Hessle, offering evidence-based treatments designed to ease tension, support recovery, and help clients reconnect with their bodies.
Founded by Ben Campbell and Zac Botham, Centred brings a fresh approach to bodywork in East Yorkshire. Zac is an ITEC-qualified Massage Therapist and ActiveIQ-trained Sports Massage Practitioner. The practice combines clinical skill with a trauma-informed, person-centred ethos, treating each client as a whole person rather than a collection of issues and symptoms.
With demand for qualified massage therapy growing and many people carrying the physical effects of stress, desk work, and demanding lifestyles, Centred provides accessible, professional support for musculoskeletal wellbeing across Hull and the surrounding areas.
Centred offers a range of massage and bodywork services tailored to individual needs. From Swedish massage for relaxation and stress relief to deep tissue and sports massage for chronic tension and recovery, each treatment is tailored to the client’s movement and what their body is carrying.
The practice also offers the signature Centred Bodywork Method, which combines breathwork, grounding exercises, somatic techniques and trauma-informed massage for clients who prefer a gentler, more mindful approach.
“Massage isn’t just about feeling good for an hour,” says Zac Botham. “It’s about understanding what your body is holding and working with it in a way that creates lasting change. Whether someone is dealing with work-related strain, training, or simply carrying more tension than they realise, the goal is always the same: to help the body feel more at home in itself.“
Before training in massage and bodywork, Zac spent years in high-level corporate roles, working at the board level in health, safety, environment and compliance. He experienced firsthand how stress and occupational strain show up in the body, and how regular massage became essential to staying grounded and functional in demanding environments.
That lived experience now shapes how he works with clients. Many of those seeking treatment at Centred are professionals navigating similar pressures: desk-based tension, postural issues from long hours at screens, and the physical toll of high-responsibility roles.
“I understand what it’s like to push through, to carry stress in your shoulders, to finish a week feeling like your body has taken a beating even though you’ve barely moved from your desk,” says Zac. “That insight informs everything I do. Clients aren’t just getting a technically skilled massage; they’re getting someone who genuinely understands the context they’re living and working in.“
In an industry where anyone can legally call themselves a massage therapist regardless of training, Centred prioritises professional standards. Zac is registered with the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) and is a member of the Sports Massage Association (SMA), ensuring accountability, verified qualifications, and ongoing professional development.
Centred is based in Hessle, a short drive from Hull city centre and easily accessible from Beverley, Cottingham, Anlaby, Willerby and the wider East Yorkshire area.
The practice offers flexible appointment times, including evenings, to accommodate busy schedules. Sessions range from 60 to 90 minutes for comprehensive full-body treatments or the Centred Bodywork Method.
Centred is now welcoming new clients. Enquiries from organisations seeking workplace massage services are also welcome.
